General Motors and Honda, who already have a continuous collaborative project, once again gathered to develop ‘a series of affordable electric vehicles based on new global architecture using the next generation ultium battery technology. Two companies with their budget offers, who plan to compete with Tesla and others, have targeted Millions of EV global production from 2027, including compact crossover vehicles.
Two majors of cars will also work towards equipment and standard processes. GM and Honda to work on battery technology too

Honda made progress on its all-solid-state battery technology that the company saw as the core element of the future EV. Honda has formed a demonstration line in Japan for all solid-state batteries and made further progress towards mass production.
GM hopes to achieve carbon neutrality in its product and its global operations in 2040, and Honda in 2050.
GM and Honda: The story has so far
GM and Honda have developed close working relationships for years, including several projects in recent years focusing on electrical and autonomic vehicle technology.
In 2013, the two companies began working together on the development of the next generation of fuel cell systems and hydrogen storage technology. In 2018, Honda joined the efforts to develop the EV GM battery module. In 2020, GM and Honda announced plans for two EV codes, including the Honda Prologue, which will be launched at the beginning of 2024, immediately followed by the first EV SUV Acura.
